Before starting the course, Arku couldn't come inside to greet guests as he was over the top excited and wouldn't listen, jumping all over guests, he would hold a sit or down but only for a short time before he got distracted and would run off and he would play a lot of catch me if you can which was very frustrating.

Treat/reward training wasn’t getting me where I wanted to go. She was too head strong and after taking her treat always went back to what she was doing.

Walks with Maisy were so unpleasant and embarrassing. She was always pulling right at the end of lead until she was choking herself and she was highly reactive to other dogs, barking and lunging at them. She’s not aggressive at all but her behaviour looked that way to others.

Lulu's a highly active, excitable girl with very selective hearing and little or no impulse control. Going for a walk was a chore as she'd pull, bark at other dogs, lunge at motor cycles etc.

Canine Chaos to Calm is probably not right for you if:

❌ You're hoping there's a magic switch that will transform your dog overnight.
Our training gets exceptional results, and it tends to work much faster than the traditional training methods you might find elsewhere.

All training takes dedication and consistency - the difference with our training is the effort you put in tends to be rewarded with results, rather than never seeming to get anywhere.

❌ You don't like the idea of telling your dog what to do, or giving them structure.
Dogs thrive on structure and clear, consistent boundaries because they know exactly where they stand and what's expected of them.

It also takes a load off their shoulders because you're the one making the key decisions for them - they can just relax and enjoy the ride!

If you're adamant that your dog should be able to make whatever decisions they please, with no consequences (however small) for poor choices, this course probably isn't for you.

❌ Your dog has ever shown signs of aggression towards anyone in their household
For safety reasons, in-person training is probably a better fit for you and your dog. Please don't participate in this course if your dog has ever shown any sign of aggression towards people in the same household (and get in touch with us first if they're aggressive towards people in general).

“What makes the members of Canine Chaos to Calm and all of the testimonials I've seen so successful?”

There's a reason that SO many of our members have had amazing success with us, even when they'd spent thousands of dollars and years of effort trying to train their dog with other options.

Canine Chaos to Calm was designed with the everyday dog owner in mind. If you're anything like our members, you don't have hours a day to spend training your dog, and you want training that works in real life situations (NOT just when you have treats, and nothing else exciting is going on!). What makes Canine Chaos to Calm different to anything else you've tried can be broken down into three key reasons:

# 1. A training system that adapts to what YOU want your dog to do. Every dog is different, and everyone has slightly different expectations and rules they want their dog to follow. Canine Chaos to Calm walks you through our proven, effective training system to teach your dog to listen and behave reliably, and shows you how to adapt it to what YOU want from YOUR dog (and we can help with deciding WHAT you want, if you're stuck on that, too!).

#2. Your DOG's Mindset. Most dogs are in the mindset of acting on impulse and doing what they want, when they want (and common training approaches accidentally ENCOURAGE that mindset!). A key part of our training system is changing your dog's mindset so they learn how to hold themselves back from something they REALLY want to do, and listen/behave reliably.

There's a reason we hear "it's like they're a different dog" and "I never thought he could do this" ALL the time from our Canine Chaos to Calm members. What you THINK your dog's capable of is usually far below what they're ACTUALLY capable of with the right training system.

#3. YOUR mindset. I know it can be hard to stay consistent when nothing seems to work and you're not even sure if you're doing the right thing. In Canine Chaos to Calm, you'll see your dog make progress WAY faster than other training you've tried, AND you'll get to see it in action on stubborn, excitable, "naughty" dogs in our demo videos, so you know that it works. “My dog is food driven - will treat free training still work?”

Absolutely! The reality is that even food-crazy dogs (like labradors!) will have at least SOMETHING they find MORE exciting than treats (things like cats, guests, other dogs, or even just good smells). So as soon as those things appear, they tend to ignore your treat in favour of the more exciting option.

Treat-free training is all about teaching your dog how to listen and behave, even when they REALLY want to do something else (rather than only when they want the treat you're offering!)

We have LOTS of food driven dogs in Canine Chaos to Calm, and they still get amazing results (even when treat-based training hadn't worked - ironic, right?!)

“Is this course only for dogs who have lots of issues already? (My dog is mostly well-behaved/I want to prevent problems with my new dog)”

A: Our training system can be used to teach your dog what you do and don't want them to do, in a way they both understand and actually listen to (even when something more interesting is on offer!)

Which means it can be used both to address existing problems (no matter how big or small they are!) AND prevent problems before they start.

So although most of our clients started in the "my dog is driving me nuts!" category, we also have plenty of members who started with younger puppies, or who joined to solve one or two problems with their mostly well-behaved dog.

“How long do I have access to the course? What happens if I miss a session because we're away/busy - will I be able to catch up?”

A: We know that life can get busy, things can happen and even with the best intentions training can go out the window sometimes.

Every video is available on the platform for the life of the course (i.e. as long as the course is running, you can access the videos, including any updates - there are no “live only” videos that you have to attend, so you can go through the course at a time that suits you).

“Is my dog too old?”

A: We've helped dogs 10 years and older transform their behaviour - "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" is just an old wives tale.

Most training approaches aren't that effective at addressing existing issues in older dogs (which is why many trainers push the idea that you must get everything right as a puppy, or put up with problems forever).

The reality is that older dogs are more than capable of changing their behaviour with the right training system. It can take slightly longer than with a new puppy because you have to undo the old habits first (but even that tends to happen faster than most people expect, if you're using an effective approach!)

“We've tried online courses before and found it hard to work through sooo many videos which aren’t that helpful or relevant to our situation (especially when our dog finds listening challenging!) We’re considering using an in-person trainer instead because of this. How is your course different?”

Our training works by using one simple but effective system to cover EVERYTHING from listening to commands reliably (even around distractions), manners around the house, to behavioural problems (barking, digging, pulling on the lead, lunging at other dogs, jumping up etc all come under this part).

This means that once you and your dog know the system, you can apply it to almost any problem or anything you want to teach your dog, rather than having a different approach for every different thing that they do (which means Canine Chaos to Calm includes everything you need and nothing you don’t, so you’re not sitting through pointless videos which have no relevance to your situation!)

We always teach the same core principles & commands (sit (and wait for release), down (and wait for release), heel, and come) for every dog, regardless of the issues that they're dealing with, because it creates that self-control, communication and consistency that I often talk about, which allows you to deal with whatever specific problem you have, and teach them what you do and don't want.

There are also individual behavioural videos that go along with the core training videos, so you can select which ones apply to you and find out how to apply the training system to fix things like jumping up, barking, digging, pulling on the lead, over-reacting to people/dogs/cars, chasing cats, stealing items etc.

“I have a busy life and I’m concerned that I don’t have time to train my dog”

A: The truth is that all training takes time and effort at the start.

The good news is that our system tends to get results much faster than traditional training methods, so you can fast-track to the good stuff.

Also, how much time are you currently wasting chasing your dog to retrieve the socks they stole, or waiting for them to finish what they’re doing at the park so they finally come back?

"She killed the chickens, chased the cat and jumped fences to chase sheep. Now, she's so well-behaved that she's inspired my in-laws to get a dog!"

Our dog was an unwanted pig hunting dog. As she was no good she was destined to be shot so we took her on board with us. On her first night at home she ate 4 of our chickens and chased the cat. Within the first week she was jumping the fence and chasing the sheep. We needed help.

We saw Grace's training examples and thought if we could get anywhere close to that we would be happy. With the whole family on board we were amazed with how quickly she responded to the boundaries the training set. My 6 year old daughter was also able to be part of the training. This is a method that trains the whole family in a very clear way so that everyone is on the same page.

Sass now can go for a walk in the sheep paddock without trying to chase the sheep and comes back when asked. She now only jumps the fence if we say she can. We are beginning to introduce her to the cat now that she has built up some self control and are confident that we can get some more hens soon and be able to show her they are not to chase.

"So many things on the internet make false promises, but it really works!"

I had been looking at the course for some time, watching the videos and reading testimonials and thought it sounded fantastic. To be honest, I was hesitant about the cost as so many things on the internet make false promises, but in the end decided to just do it and I'm so pleased I did now as it really works!

Our dog had no ears and really didn't do anything he didn't feel like. If we had tradesmen at the house, I would have to hold him on my knee while he was fighting to get off else he would be frantic, jumping up and making a nuisance of himself, stealing anything that was left unattended and refusing to return said items - he also was the master sock/peg thief. He was over excitable on walks and unmanageable when he was distracted.

He has finally started to listen! He will lie on his bed while we are eating, he stays 'down' by the kitchen while I am busy cooking etc, he has even started to come when he is called. We had a tradesman come about half way into the course, and I managed to get him to sit while I was talking to him which calmed him right down, miracle! He will leave and drop stolen items (most of the time)

The videos were great in terms of being able to see the commands in action, and what to do if something goes wrong. In regard to how our life has changed, I think I have calmed down which sets the tone for day to day life.

Maple was very excitable especially around guests, I didn't feel she listened at all and I was shouting a lot at her when she was naughty.

After only a week she was listening better, and I didn't need to shout anymore. I feel like I know what to do and that we'll keep progressing as she matures.

The course was very easy to understand. Life is a lot more manageable now - walking is a breeze and now she's older she runs with me too without fear of her pulling my arm out of my socket. Her manners have improved hugely - she doesn't push her way out of doors and can wait for permission to eat (for ages sometimes if I forget to tell her it's ok).

I think the course suited us perfectly. There were sections I skipped through fast because she already knew or picked up the command easily, but others we are still working on and I refer back to them still.

It's great still having access to the content so I can keep going back to it. We've assimilated all the commands into every day life and practice/challenge her as the situations arise.

"I was worried that 8yrs was too old. He knew a lot already, but we were stuck on a couple of issues. After Canine Chaos to Calm, he's a completely different dog."

Oz is an 8yo Australian Shepherd - we'd done lots of training and whilst that was great, I was worried he'd be too old to learn new habits.

Oz has been an anxious dog all his life. At home it was manageable (and I guess we adapted our life to all coexist happily). But when we started travelling, his anxiety and behavioural issues started to wear us down. He wasn’t a bad dog by any stretch but pulled on the lead, whined constantly if we were out, barked at us on the beach, and would meltdown if another dog was chasing a ball in front of us. The vet had prescribed anxiety medication for him and we were worried about what our life on the road would be like if we couldn’t take him to the beach.

Having completed Chaos to Calm, Oz is a different dog. We recently returned home for a week and unprompted family and friends were commenting on how calm he is now! He listens to me - he looks to me for direction and he tries so hard to suppress his impulses. We have reduced his medication by half and intend to wean him off it completely in a few weeks because now he’s controlling himself. We’ve still got work to do - the dogs chasing ball thing is still his kryptonite but there is so much improvement in all areas. More than anything I’m now confident to take him to the beach. I know what to do now when he has a melt down and I am calm!
